From Fork to Dream
How I Turned My Love For Food Into a Tourism Company
Hi! I’m Adeyoyin Adeleye. By day, I’m a chemical engineer, working with an excellent team to build modular refineries across Africa. By night (and most weekends), I’m the person who won’t let you rest until you’ve been fed, and overfed with good, delicious meals.
This food matter didn’t start today; it’s been simmering for years. Back in my NYSC days, I worked in a restaurant. It was a part-time job, but the experience taught me a new kind of chemistry. Seeing people smile after they eat, laughing between mouthfuls, and sharing moments with their friends and families altered some of my brain chemistry. I soon realised that food chemistry is just love chemistry you can taste. Both need the right reactions, perfect bonding, and a little heat to create that spark.

Soon after, I became a low-key food critic, a Private Judge of Taste, if you will.
This amala and ewedu stand accused of excessive deliciousness and are hereby sentenced to permanent residency in my stomach. But this jollof rice? Guilty of hardness in the first degree. I hereby sentence it to 20 more minutes of fire before it can face the court of my teeth.
As my love for food grew, I launched a private Instagram page to showcase my experiments. Because, let me tell you, I cook a mean pot of fried rice. Dare I say my own fried rice deserves a verse in the national anthem?
Fast forward to my birthday in 2024, while most people were content with cake and balloons, I went full throttle and created “Adeyoyin’s Food Festival.” I planned breakfast, lunch, and dinner for four straight days. Everyone had the time of their lives, and there I was, feeling like a proud Nigerian caterer. The joy I felt made me repeat it in 2025. That’s when it clicked. For me, food is not just a hobby; it’s a calling.
And- just like that, Naija Food Tour was born out of joy, and a calling that refused to stay quiet. The vision is simple. I want people to taste Nigeria properly. If you’re craving amala, we’ll head to the spot that serves it soft and fluffy. If it’s jollof, we’ll find the place that does smoky party rice just right. I believe in finding the best version of each dish and enjoying it to the fullest.
And abeg, this is not just my opinion o. Even my mum, the ultimate food critic who can disgrace your cooking with just a single, “Hmmmm”, tasted these meals and judged them, “the best I’ve ever had.” If Mama Adeleye approves, who are you to argue?
So yes, here we are: engineer by profession, unapologetic food plug by passion. If you roll with me, you’ll eat and experience true satisfaction. Welcome to Naija Food Tour, where you can chop life the way it was meant to be chopped.
